IndigiQueer Firekeepers

IndigiQueer Firekeepers is a space for 2SLGBTQIA+ Indigenous students to gather, share, and celebrate their identities. Rooted in community, culture, and resilience, this group fosters connections through storytelling, knowledge-sharing, and events that honor both tradition and contemporary experiences.

Coyote Brings the Food Conference

Knowledge Makers Indigenous Academic Journal partnered with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization for its eighth volume.

The publication of this volume culminated in a conference celebrating the publication, where Indigenous researchers, scholars, and community leaders gathered to discuss the volumes topics of food systems, sustainability, and knowledge sovereignty.

National Gathering of Indigenous Graduate students

In 2018, AMR hosted the National Gathering of Indigenous Graduate Students, bringing together Indigenous and allied graduate students engaged in research on Indigenous health and wellness.

This gathering provided a space for mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, supporting students in their academic and research journeys.
